Chair:
Ian Parker graduated in law from London University in 1972. He first volunteered with, and then worked for, Langley House Trust, a Christian Charity providing homely accommodation for men leaving prison with nowhere else to go. Following this he trained for and worked in the Probation Service for five years. In 1980 he was accepted for ordination by the Methodist Church and spent two years training in Cambridge. Since then he has served as a Methodist minister in North East England, Milton Keynes and London, gaining experience of charity trusteeship in various community organisations. He retired from full-time ministry in 2015 and moved to Cumbria where he serves part-time as Minister-in-Charge of Lamplugh, Kirkland and Ennerdale Local Ecumenical Partnership.

Sharon Woollard
Sharon trained as a teacher in the beautiful city of Bath. She worked in secondary schools in Cumbria specialising in caring for young people with special educational needs.
Her interests are creative textiles in the form of patchwork, quilting, and applique. She is an active member of the Ruskin Lace groups in Keswick and Carlisle ensuring that the traditional Cumbrian craft and skills are kept alive.
Sharon is an active member of her local Methodist Chapel and helps with a local Craft and Chat group. She is also secretary to the Western Fells Methodist Circuit.
Her village chapel has a long history of working closely with its Anglican friends. This has resulted in Sharon and her husband caring and maintaining for the churchyard. This activity not only provides strenuous activity but an opportunity for pastoral care for visitors.
Patricia Rogers.
Tricia has worked in the Charity Sector and Church for most of her working life, either as a staff member or Trustee, having undertaken an MSc in Charity Management and Fundraising. She has been CEO and fundraiser in a variety of organisations in the UK, including one delivering CBT within a Therapeutic Community in several prisons, with the aim of stopping re-offending. She became involved with the Cumbria Reducing Offending Partnership Trust when Team Rector of the Binsey Mission Community in the north of the county. When this charity closed, she became one of the founding Trustees of Beginning Again in order that similar work might continue. Tricia has special responsibility within Beginning Again for training and fundraising. She is currently Priest in Charge of several Anglican Churches in South Cumbria but prior to that was Minister to the three Methodist Churches in Kendal.
James Clarke
James trained as a teacher and is an experienced adult trainer, He is a Priest of the Church of England, and specialised in working among deaf and hard of hearing people, managing two charities operating in this field. He served the Archbishops’ Council as National Lead on matters relating to deaf people. James served as a magistrate in Leicester City for 20 years, regularly chairing crime and remand courts, as well as family hearings. He has maintained an interest in criminal matters, especially sentencing and reform and rehabilitation. James acted as consultant on Media Skills, PR and Marketing for a rehabilitation charity. His Interests include broadcasting and radio, and he continues to work as a freelance sports journalist for local radio. He also helps local churches by leading worship regularly.
